The online Account Setup process on our web site makes it easy for existing customers to register for an online ordering account, as well as new customers interested in ordering from Northbest Distributors for the first time.

All new accounts must be approved and activated by Northbest Distributors before they are accessible to the customer.

The following three steps apply to both new and existing customers:

These steps complete the process for existing customers. New customers have one more step to complete:

Upon creation of your online account, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Your user name and password will be included in this message for your records. You will not be able to retrieve your password in future, but it can be reset using the Password Reset Page. Once your account has been approved and activated by Northbest, you will receive an email notification.

To accomodate the needs of companies with one or more remote locations (mines, exploration camps), our web site offers three types of customer accounts:

  • Master Bush Order Account
    This account type is for companies with multiple remote locations that wish to have centralized control over their billing information and remote camp accounts. Orders cannot be placed directly from this account. Remote Accounts need to be created as sub-accounts of the Master Account for each remote location. The Master Account provides functions for adding, accessing, suspending, and removing remote sub-accounts.
     
  • Remote Bush Order Sub-Account
    This type of Remote Account is associated with a Master Account, and allows placing of orders and quote requests, as well as shopping list management. The company billing information cannot be changed from this account type. To create a sub-account, select a Master Account from the drop-down list in step 1 of the Account Setup Assistant. You will need the username and password for the Master Account.
    Note: Remote accounts can be more easily created from the account management page of the Master Account.
     
  • Single Remote Bush Order Account
    This type of account is for a single remote location. It includes both the company billing information and the remote location information. This option is for customers that will only ever use one account for placing orders. To create this type of account, select "Remote Bush Order Account" but do not select a Master Account from the drop-down.

This step is straighforward, requiring either company billing contact information, remote location information or both depending on the account type (outlined above).

Note that if you are registering as a new customer for either a Master Account or a Single Remote Account, the billing contact information will also be used on the electronic Credit Application Form. As such, please ensure that you include your legal business name, address, and other contact details.

At this stage of the setup you need to enter the information you will use to login to your account. In addition to the username and password, a security question/hint and corresponding answer are required. This information will be needed if you forget your password and want to reset it.

This step is only applicable to new customers.

At this stage of the setup process, you have the option to finish later. This will give you time, if needed, to gather any additional information required on the Credit Application form. You can either finish later without selecting a payment method, or select "Credit Application" and then choose to finish later.

The Visa Authorization Form is available in PDF format to print and fax in only. The Credit Application is available either electronically or in PDF format to print and fax in later. If you choose to complete a credit application later, you can login to your new account on the web site to submit it electronically, or download the PDF form and send it by fax.
